At Garam Masala, the culinary team tries its best to be as true to the cuisine as they can, with the traditional clay tandoor over the chefs are able to dish out mouth watering kebabs and Naan breads but beyond that it offers a true insight of Indian Cuisine. Ajay explains; “No dish in Indian Cuisine is meant to be spicy, it always meant to be flavorful, the cuisine was developed to please the maharajas, the nawabs and have a lot of finesse in flavors and techniques. The use of warm spices in cooking the Indian food only takes the flavor a notch up”
Not just the food is flavorful, for most part it is very healthy too. The marinated meats in yougurt, cooked dry in a clay tandoor oven keeps any fattening content away from the food, a lot of spices used in the cooking are also known to be healing like turmeric, fennel etc.
The key to tasty food is the freshness of ingredients, being a small boutique restaurant the food served is fresh, prepared daily and the chefs roast and ground their own masalas and make their own curries from scratch and all that shows in the first bite that you take.
